About Us
The Fayette County Community Early Childhood Council (FCCECC) addresses the unique needs and strengths of Fayette County related to early childhood. The FCCECC is a vehicle for bringing together many community members to support issues of importance to children and families. Through the FCCECC, new and existing relationships within our community can be built to sustain support for early childhood development.
The FCCECC is funded by a grant from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood to help support early childhood development in our community with a focus on school readiness. Our Council is a full partner in the First 5 Lex Read, Talk and Play from cradle to kindergarten initiative. Our goal is to mobilize the community to support children birth to 5 and their families. Projects we sponsor to make this happen are: the First 5 Lex Readiness APP, Born Learning Academies and the Countdown to Kindergarten program.
Any individual or agency/program that is interested in early childhood in Fayette County can join FCCECC. All community members are encouraged to contribute their ideas and expertise to the FCCECC.
